One of the hottest new workout trends that many people are getting involved in right now is kettlebell training. Kettlebell training is a great way to offer more variety to your workout protocol when you want to get away from straight dumbbell and barbell training and is great for fat burning as well.

Since you will be performing a number of major compound movements with kettlebell training, it’s an excellent way to boost your calorie burn and help to really drive up your fitness level.

Let’s walk you through some of the top things that you should know and consider however before you get started with kettlebell training.

You Must Keep Your Core Tight

The very first thing to note is that kettlebell training is going to be very core intensive, so it’s a must that you make sure that you are keeping it contracted at all times as you…

Early Spring?

web designThis month, like the seconds on the clock … are just speeding by –  I have been busy as ever with many new site proposals, designs and working with numerous local companies for their online marketing. I thank God for all the blessings bestowed on me lately in my working world.  I have been keeping very busy in the day-to-day with website designs/development, social media updates, search engine optimization, adwords accounts, blogging from everything from fitness to restoration tips on a daily basis – and – I love it!!  I should be launching some new sites soon, so I will let you know when they go live, as always.

My website is in dire need of updates – why is it your stuff always rates last priority. I hope to carve out some time this week to go through as last week I was showing it and I was actually embarrassed of my site.  I will get to my updates for the site soon.

It appears that the groundhog declares that we will have an early spring. Thats good news, if your the gambling type … I am not so much the gambler and excited to be embarking on a sun-filled trip with the girls at the end of the month for  some R & R (red stripe & really fun times) We are headed to  Jamaica to see Ms. Sally at the Blue Marlin YES .. vacation is much needed!

My daughter has been gone a little over 6 months now and as I said in a post last week, it is tough love and an aching heart but I am excited to see the transformation and to hear all the wonderful stories about her journey to Brazil.  She has made so many friends around the world and has many loving families in Brazil – just incredible experience. I need to start learning Portuguese for my trip there this summer (more on the to-do list)

As my BFF reminded me last month – I can do anything I put my mind to!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year 2013I am actually going to make some serious resolutions for 2013 – how about you??

For starters, one of my (business) resolutions will be, I am going to continue my blog on a monthly basis – I can’t believe I haven’t been on here in so many months for my own personal business. Although, 2012 was quite the year – I sent my 16 year old daughter to Brazil as a United States & Canadian Ambassador on a foreign exchange for 1 year through the Rotary Organization.

In 2013, I would like to keep up on not only blogging but social media.  Recently, I started an account on Facebook for cherihelms.com business page for web designs & services.  Also looking forward to a new office space in the coming months and launching new websites that are currently in the works – CPA, Real Estate, Musical Entertainment, Shopping Boutique, Engineering company, Highway Services and more!

2012 was a great year working for some wonderful companies – Rapid Recovery Service, increased their social presence by 300% – brought in numerous web leads. Garners Jewelry & Exchange saw an average of over 60,000 viewers on their social media.  There are so many other successes – Pia’s Italiano Restaurante, Fitness Coach Shirley, Taylor Yoga, Massage by NancyShopMotorCityHarley.com, Tif2brazil.com and numerous others.  I hope to have continual success in business with websites and e-marketing efforts – Feliz Natal

Some good stuff for visioning in 2013 : )
Tips for changing your life in the New Year:1. Identify what you want.

2. Identify what you’re willing to give in order to get it.

3. Identify the obstacles that are in your way.

4. List what you’ll do to move beyond those obstacles.

5. Create a written plan of action and get to work.

6. Monitor results and adjust accordingly.

Happy Summer ’12

Sailing started last week, got thru the road captain training and skills competition – busy, busy … we’ll catch up soon : )
